![]() but I would be curious to see whether the game crashes as much if you played it on Linux or not. So while I suggest that if a typical person is only going to play one version of Mafia II, I suggest using the original 2010 version since it's got lower system requirements and is less buggy, if a person can't use that for whatever reason, like appears to be the case for you (as if any game crashes a bit TOO often, that's going to be a show stopper), the Definitive Edition will easily be good enough. but other than those handful of things or so, nothing obvious stands out to me off the top of my head. there is also Henry looks a bit weird at times and I think the NPC's occasionally have white eyes. like not long ago someone posted a picture of a mission later into the game with Leo where his eyes are not looking at the persons he's talking to, as that's one of the more obvious graphics glitches with the game. ![]() the DE does have graphics glitches but it's nothing show stopper level. So assuming fixing the game is out (and you don't want to try Linux, I play the entire Mafia series (from 2002-2020) on Linux and Mafia II is stable enough on there the last I played through the 2010 game (might have been an occasional crash or some weird glitch once in a while where you could see through everything (the walls) at a distance (basically graphics are totally out of whack) occasionally though, but not a show stopper)) you can always try the Definitive Edition as that might be stable enough for you as I suspect one of those two versions should work well enough on your computer. ![]() I suspect there is probably not much you can do as sometimes some games just don't like certain computer configurations (hardware wise). Assuming your Windows 10 installation (I am just assuming you are using Windows 10 since Windows 11 is more likely to act up in general) is in good running order (like nothing a clean installation would fix) with running recent GPU drivers etc and it still acts up. ![]()
